Dr. Rajendra Prasad

With over 22 years of experience, Dr. Rajendra Prasad is an internationally renowned Liver Surgeon. Dr. Rajendra has been an integral part of approximately 1000 adult and pediatric liver transplants and more than 1600 liver resection procedures for cancer and living liver donations. Dr. Rajendra Prasad completed his medical school at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, General surgical training at PGIMER, Chandigarh and GI surgical training at SGPGIMS, Lucknow. For further training in Liver Surgery, he went to Pittsburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, and Birmingham. He was also appointed as a Consultant at Leeks in the year 2000. He was praised with different prizes, distinctions and travel grants during his training. He gained vast expertise in liver surgery, including auxiliary liver transplantation, split liver transplantation, mono segment liver transplantation, two-stage liver resections, vascular resections for cancer, ALPPS procedures, minor and major laparoscopic liver resections. Dr. Prasad has published more than 160 papers in eminent medical journals like Nature, Lancet Oncology, eLife, Annals of Surgery and British Journal of Surgery, to name a few. He has also contributed chapters to reputable medical textbooks.
