He is associated with Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai as the Director of Children’s Heart Centre. He is also a practicing consultant of Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery. He has the credit for performing nearly 12,000 successful surgeries in this field. Dr. Suresh Rao has gained ace-quality training and tutoring. He was an alumnus of Sree Chitra Institute Trivandrum where he received his CVT surgery training. He has also offered his expertise at Madras Medical Mission (MMM), and other prestigious institutions in New Zealand, Australia, and the USA.
