5 Health Benefits Of Kratom That Make It Medically Safe

Kratom, also known as Mitragyna Speciosa, is a plant native to Southeast Asia. For decades, it has carried medical implications in native countries. Kratom’s true power lies in over 40 different alkaloids present in its leaves. Combined, those alkaloids could yield myriad health benefits. There are many health benefits of kratom to manage chronic pain, inflammation and boost a general sense of well-being and health.

It’s worth mentioning that kratom is a relatively controversial herb despite its rich history of usage. Partially because there’s not much scientific evidence to back-up any medical claims and most of those claims are anecdotal. The FDA has not approved kratom for supplemental usage, but you can still find it in myriad forms all across the United States.

However, attention should be paid to where you buy it from. It’s important to buy kratom products from a reliable vendor since it’s not well-regulated by any authority.

What Type of Effects/Sensations To Expect From Kratom

When consumed at low doses, kratom tends to exhibit symptoms similar to a mild stimulant. Based only on those clinical trials can kratom qualify as a safe and effective drug for overcoming opioids and other addictions.

It’s interesting that even in the middle of an apparent lack of large scale studies, users continue to switch to kratom for overcoming addictions. A small-scale study from 2009 by Malaysia men demonstrated how kratom helped with withdrawal symptoms.

5. Kratom can be an excellent energy booster

It’s important to remember that kratom has different strains. Each strain carries different properties. While some may make you feel dull, others can have coffee-like effects. They may make you feel more energetic and motivated to do everyday tasks more easily. Many people are starting to replace their morning coffee with a cup of kratom tea.

Kratom works by improving certain metabolic processes. This leads to better circulation and an increase in oxygenated blood supply. All of that combined can lead to a burst of energy. Thai kratom, Maeng Da, and white vein kratom could be potentially good for sufferers of chronic fatigue syndrome.

The FDA does not regulate the sale and distribution of kratom and kratom products. Therefore, the responsibility for safe consumption falls completely on consumers’ shoulders. To that end, it’s important to find reliable vendors who are transparent about their products and what went into them. There are also no dosage guidelines available so you would need to follow trial and error method before establishing an ideal dose that works for you.
