Dr. Mukundan Seshadri is a Consultant - Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. He completed MBBS from B J Medical College, Pune in 1982, MS - General Surgery from Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Government Medical College & Sasson General Hospital, Pune in 1986 and MCh - Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery from Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore in 1989. He has won a Gold Medal in Physiology & Pathology, Silver Medal in General Surgery and Gold Medal in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery. Till now, he has successfully performed 7700 open heart surgeries. His special interests lie in Cardiac includes, Coronary Artery reconstruction for Diffuse Coronary artery disease using only arterial patches, Minimally invasive cardiac surgery and Valvular heart surgery including mitral valve repair and mitral and aortic. Dr. Seshadri also has a keen interest in Bentall procedure for Ascending aortic root replacement, Ascending aortic repair with valve-sparing and Aortic arch and descending aortic surgery. Dr. Seshadri has more than 50 publications in National and International Journals and more than 75 presentations in National and International meetings.
