This is the story of Ishita Srivastav who was born perfectly fine and was delivered through vaginal delivery. During her birth, her mother did every possible tactic to keep her womb fit, fine, and perfectly healthy. Even during the delivery, the mother was able to connect with the child and help her develop an action of talking to her elders. Everything was going normal until one of the nurses noticed Ishita’s eyes going in a different direction. It was not a good sign for having a healthy life. Either Ishita was going through some extreme body changes or she might have complicated diseases like a seizure. The mother had the delivery of the child named Ishita in a local hospital, from where she was advised to reach another hospital for better help. The parents came to know about OMNI Hospitals, Kukatpally through the medium of Credihealth. They fixed the appointment and had one of the consultations at the hospital.
How did Ishita receive help?
Ishita, at the age of one month, received all major tests including MRI and EEG. During the tests, she revealed that she was going through a seizure.
The seizure was also visible through the actions of Ishita. She was not able to cry or behave like others. She was only moving her hands in different directions as if she was not able to see properly.
On the other hand, the doctors of OMNI Hospitals, Kukatpally advised waiting for the child until she becomes at least 10 so that they could perform a surgery to remove the dead part of the brain.
The doctors advised the parents that they will perform a hemispherectomy surgery for the child to remove half of the brain that is not catching the signals.
On the other hand, Ishita was growing faster, at the age of 5 she gained enough weight that she could start her surgery. Although it was the first case to perform surgery on the 5 years old child, the doctor consciously acted and performed the surgery, which went successfully. Today, Ishita is around 10 years old, growing normally like others, having tantrums, crying, and acting against each reply of the parents.
